According to Section 409(h)(1)(C) of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, food contact substance notifications (FCNs) are effective only for the listed manufacturer and its customers. Other manufacturers must submit their own FCN for the same food contact substance and intended use.
Food Contact Substance: Poly(oxy-1,2-ethanediyl), α-[3,5-dimethyl-1-(2-methylpropyl)hexyl]-ω-hydroxy- (CAS Reg. No. 60828-78-6).

Manufacturer/Supplier: The Dow Chemical Company
Intended Use: For use as an additive in adhesives.
Limitations/Specifications: The FCS may be used at a level not to exceed 7.0 weight percent of the adhesive on a dry basis. The final adhesive is subject to the use limitations listed in 21 CFR 175.105(a)(2) and may be used in contact with all food types under Conditions of Use E through G as described in Tables 1 and 2.
