According to Section 409(h)(1)(C) of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, food contact substance notifications (FCNs) are effective only for the listed manufacturer and its customers. Other manufacturers must submit their own FCN for the same food contact substance and intended use.
Food Contact Substance: Dipropylene glycol monomethyl ether (CAS Reg. No. 34590-94-8).

Intended Use: As a component of ink formulations for use on beverage cups made of polypropylene complying with 21 CFR 177.1520(c)(1.1a).
Limitations/Specifications: The ink formulation containing the FCS will be reverse printed onto polypropylene film layer prior to its lamination onto the non-food contact side of cellular polypropylene cups of 0.046 to 0.067 thickness. The cup may hold hot-fill (maximum 100°C fill), cold, and frozen beverages/liquids, i.e. aqueous & acidic and alcoholic (≤ 10% alcohol content) foods.
