Nobian Industrial Chemicals B.V.

According to Section 409(h)(1)(C) of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, food contact substance notifications (FCNs) are effective only for the listed manufacturer and its customers. Other manufacturers must submit their own FCN for the same food contact substance and intended use.
Food Contact Substance: Dimethyl ether (CAS Reg. No. 115-10-6).
Notifier: Akzo Nobel Coatings Inc.
Manufacturer/Supplier: Nobian Industrial Chemicals B.V.
Intended Use: As a solvent/processing aid in the production of poultry collagen used in processed meat products.
Limitations/Specifications: The residual amount of the FCS in collagen is no more than 3 ppm.
