According to Section 409(h)(1)(C) of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, food contact substance notifications (FCNs) are effective only for the listed manufacturer and its customers. Other manufacturers must submit their own FCN for the same food contact substance and intended use.
Food Contact Substance: Quino(2,3-b)acridine-7,14-dione,5,12-dihydro-,(1,3-dihydro-1,3-dioxo-2H-isoindol-2-yl)methyl derivatives (CAS Reg. No. 332142-67-3). This FCS is a mixture of phthalimidomethyl derivatives of quinacridone.

Manufacturer/Supplier: Colors and Effects USA LLC
Intended Use: As a pigment dispersant for use in all types of food-contact polymers.
Limitations/Specifications: For use at levels not to exceed 0.05 percent by weight in all types of food-contact polymers. The finished polymers are intended to contact all types of food under Conditions of Use B through H as described in Tables 1 and 2, respectively. Use of the FCS in polymers is subject to the provisions and definitions set forth in 21 CFR 178.3297.
