According to Section 409(h)(1)(C) of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, food contact substance notifications (FCNs) are effective only for the listed manufacturer and its customers. Other manufacturers must submit their own FCN for the same food contact substance and intended use.
Food Contact Substance: Alpha alkene (C20-C24) polymers with maleic anhydride reaction products with 2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-4-piperidinamine (CAS Reg. No. 152261-33-1).

Intended Use: As an ultraviolet light stabilizer at levels not exceeding 0.3 percent by weight in olefin polymers complying with 21 CFR 177.1520 Olefin polymers, or an effective food contact substance notification.
Limitations/Specifications: Limited to use in contact with aqueous, acidic and low-alcohol foods under Conditions of Use E through G as described in Table 2.
