According to Section 409(h)(1)(C) of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, food contact substance notifications (FCNs) are effective only for the listed manufacturer and its customers. Other manufacturers must submit their own FCN for the same food contact substance and intended use.
Food Contact Substance: Polysulfone-polyphenylene sulfone block copolymer CAS name: [1,1'-Biphenyl]-4,4'-diol, polymer with 4,4'-(1-methylethylidene)bis[phenol] and 1,1'-sulfonylbis[4-chlorobenzene] (CAS Reg. No. 27757-21-7).

Intended Use: As a component of repeat-use molded articles such as food trays, conveyor belts, bearings, utensils, containers, and components of machinery.
Limitations/Specifications: The thickness of the molded article must be between 2-20 mm. The FCS is intended to contact all types of food at temperatures not to exceed 204°C (400°F) for food trays and 191°C (375°F) for other uses.
