Nouryon Functional Chemicals LLC

According to Section 409(h)(1)(C) of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, food contact substance notifications (FCNs) are effective only for the listed manufacturer and its customers. Other manufacturers must submit their own FCN for the same food contact substance and intended use.
Food Contact Substance: Dicetyl peroxydicarbonate (CAS Reg. No. 26322-14-5)

Manufacturer/Supplier: Nouryon Functional Chemicals LLC
Intended Use: The FCS will be used as a modifier in the production of high melt strength polypropylene (HMS-PP). The primary applications for the HMS-PP are in foaming, thermoforming and blow molding. The HMS-PP will comply with 21 CFR 177.1520.
Limitations/Specifications: The FCS is added to polypropylene (PP) at a maximum level of 2.0 percent. The FCS will be used in contact with all types of food under Conditions of Use A through H, as described in Tables 1 and 2 unless restricted by applicable regulations for the PP polymer.
