Colorants Solutions USA LLC

According to Section 409(h)(1)(C) of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, food contact substance notifications (FCNs) are effective only for the listed manufacturer and its customers. Other manufacturers must submit their own FCN for the same food contact substance and intended use.
Food Contact Substance: Benzoic acid, 4-chloro-2-[2-(2-hydroxy-6-sulfo-1-naphthalenyl)diazenyl]-, strontium salt (1:1) (CAS Reg. No. 474814-88-5).
Notifier: Clariant Plastics & Coatings USA, Inc.
Manufacturer/Supplier: Colorants Solutions USA LLC
Intended Use: As a colorant for all polymers intended for use in contact with food.
Limitations/Specifications: To be used at levels not exceeding 0.915 percent by weight of the finished polymer. The FCS in finished articles is intended to contact all food types under Conditions of Use A through H as described in Table 2.
