According to Section 409(h)(1)(C) of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, food contact substance notifications (FCNs) are effective only for the listed manufacturer and its customers. Other manufacturers must submit their own FCN for the same food contact substance and intended use.

Intended Use: As a component of resinous and polymeric coatings applied to metal substrates.
Limitations/Specifications: The FCS will be used in coatings, in compliance with 21 CFR 175.300, that may contact all types of beverages excluding those containing greater than 15 percent alcohol under conditions of use A through H as described in Table 2. The FCS will not be used in coatings that may contact liquid infant formula.
