According to Section 409(h)(1)(C) of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, food contact substance notifications (FCNs) are effective only for the listed manufacturer and its customers. Other manufacturers must submit their own FCN for the same food contact substance and intended use.
Food Contact Substance: Poly(ethylene oxide-co-propylene oxide) ethyl 4-(bis(2-hydroxyethyl)amino)-α-cyano-2-methylcinnamate ether (2:1) (CAS Reg. No. 908119-61-9).

Intended Use: For use as a colorant in high density polyethylene and polypropylene homopolymers and copolymers.
Limitations/Specifications: The FCS may be used at levels not to exceed 0.3 percent by weight of the finished polymer. The finished polymer may contact all food types as described in Tables 1 and 2, and including food intended for infants. The finished polymer may contact all food types under Conditions of Use B through H and J (microwave applications only) as described in Tables 1 and 2.
