Energy Strategy Associates/ The Shepherd Color Company

According to Section 409(h)(1)(C) of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, food contact substance notifications (FCNs) are effective only for the listed manufacturer and its customers. Other manufacturers must submit their own FCN for the same food contact substance and intended use.
Food Contact Substance: Metallic pigment comprised of borosilicate glass flakes, 70 to 95 percent, coated with pure silver metal, 5 to 30 percent by weight.

Manufacturer/Supplier: Energy Strategy Associates/ The Shepherd Color Company
Intended Use: As a colorant for polymers in contact with food.
Limitations/Specifications: At levels up to 0.3 percent by weight in all types of food-contact polymers under Conditions of Use A through H as described in Table 2.
