According to Section 409(h)(1)(C) of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, food contact substance notifications (FCNs) are effective only for the listed manufacturer and its customers. Other manufacturers must submit their own FCN for the same food contact substance and intended use.
Food Contact Substance: Acrylate copolymers containing up to 2 percent by weight of 2-propenoic acid, 4-(((4-benzoylphenoxy)carbonyl)oxy)butyl ester (CAS Reg. No. 131513-00-3) along with 2-propenoic acid, n-butyl-2-propenoate, 2-ethylhexyl 2-propenoate, methyl 2-propenoate, and/or 2-methyl-2-propenoic acid methyl ester (CAS Reg. Nos. 25265-15-0; 98060-25-4; 25119-83-9).
