According to Section 409(h)(1)(C) of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, food contact substance notifications (FCNs) are effective only for the listed manufacturer and its customers. Other manufacturers must submit their own FCN for the same food contact substance and intended use.
Food Contact Substance: Acrylate copolymers, containing 2-propenoic acid (CAS Reg. No. 79-10-7), 2-propenoic acid, n-butyl ester (CAS Reg. No. 141-32-2), 2-propenoic acid, tert-butyl ester (CAS Reg. No. 1663-39-4), 2-propenoic acid, 2-ethylhexyl ester (CAS Reg. No. 103-11-7), 2-propenoic acid, hydroxypropyl ester (CAS Reg. No. 25584-83-2), 2-propenoic acid, 2-methyl-, methyl ester (CAS Reg. No. 80-62-6), 2-propenamide (CAS reg. No. 79-06-1), benzene, ethenyl- (CAS Reg. No. 100-42-5), and/or acetic acid ethenyl ester (CAS Reg. No. 108-05-4).
