According to Section 409(h)(1)(C) of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, food contact substance notifications (FCNs) are effective only for the listed manufacturer and its customers. Other manufacturers must submit their own FCN for the same food contact substance and intended use.
Food Contact Substance: Di-tert-amyl peroxide (CAS Reg. No. 10508-09-5).

Intended Use: For use as a molecular weight modifier in the manufacture of polypropylene complying with 21 CFR 177.1520(a)(1), propylene copolymers complying with 21 CFR 177.1520(a)(3)(i), or propylene copolymers complying with applicable Food Contact Notifications.
Limitations/Specifications: For use at levels not to exceed 0.2 percent by weight of the finished polymer intended to contact all food types under Conditions of Use A through H, as described in Table 2.
