Baker Petrolite - Polymers Division

According to Section 409(h)(1)(C) of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, food contact substance notifications (FCNs) are effective only for the listed manufacturer and its customers. Other manufacturers must submit their own FCN for the same food contact substance and intended use.
Food Contact Substance: Ethoxylated primary linear alcohols of greater than 10% ethylene oxide by weight, having molecular weights of 390 - 7,000 (CAS Reg. No. 97953-22-5).

Intended Use: The FCS will be used as a surface active agent in polypropylene polymers at levels not to exceed 1.5 percent by weight of the finished article.
Limitations/Specifications: The finished food-contact article may be used in contact with aqueous foods and under Conditions of Use C (use at temperature of 150°F or less) through G as described in Tables 1 and 2, respectively.
