According to Section 409(h)(1)(C) of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, food contact substance notifications (FCNs) are effective only for the listed manufacturer and its customers. Other manufacturers must submit their own FCN for the same food contact substance and intended use.
Food Contact Substance: 2-Propenoic acid, 2-methyl-, 2-ethyl-2-[{(2-methyl-1-oxo-2-propenyl) oxy} methyl]-1, 3-propenediyl ester, polymer with ethyl-2-propenoate and methyl 2-methyl-2-propenoate (CAS Reg. No. 59779-17-8).

Intended Use: The FCS is intended for use as an antiblocking agent for linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) films at a use level of 0.5 to 2 weight-percent (with a typical use level of 1 weight-percent).
Limitations/Specifications: The LLDPE films will have a thickness of 10 - 100 microns (0.4 - 4 mils) and will contact all types of food listed in Table 1 under the Conditions of Use B through G as described in Table 2.
