According to Section 409(h)(1)(C) of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, food contact substance notifications (FCNs) are effective only for the listed manufacturer and its customers. Other manufacturers must submit their own FCN for the same food contact substance and intended use.
Food Contact Substance: Copolymer of divinylbenzene and ethylvinylbenzene (CAS Reg. No. 9043-77-0).

Manufacturer/Supplier: DDP Specialty Electronic Materials US 5, LLC
Intended Use: The FCS is used to remove organic substances from all alcoholic beverages, food types VIA and VIC as described in Table 1.
Limitations/Specifications: The finished resin must meet the applicable specifications prescribed in 21 CFR 173.65(a) and (b), and the temperature of the alcoholic beverage stream contacting the polymer may not exceed 40°C.
