According to Section 409(h)(1)(C) of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, food contact substance notifications (FCNs) are effective only for the listed manufacturer and its customers. Other manufacturers must submit their own FCN for the same food contact substance and intended use.
Food Contact Substance: Sulfonic acids, C10-18-alkane, sodium salts (CAS Reg. No. 68037-49-0).

Intended Use: The FCS is to be used as an antifogging agent anchor in multi-layer polyolefin lettuce bags.
Limitations/Specifications: The FCS is to be used at a level not to exceed 1 weight percent in the finished food contact article under Condition of Use F as described in Table 2. The maximum amount intended to be used in the seal layer (food-contact layer) is 1 weight percent of the polymer. The maximum thickness of the seal layer is 20 microns.
