Day-Glo Color Corporation

According to Section 409(h)(1)(C) of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, food contact substance notifications (FCNs) are effective only for the listed manufacturer and its customers. Other manufacturers must submit their own FCN for the same food contact substance and intended use.
Food Contact Substance: Ethanedioic acid, diethyl ester, polymer with 2,3-dihydro-9,10-dihydroxy-1,4-anthracenedione, 1,4-dihydroxy-9,10-anthracenedione and 1,3-pentanediamine (CAS Reg. No. 725685-53-0).

Intended Use: As a colorant in polypropylene food-contact polymers.
Limitations/Specifications: The FCS is to be used at levels not to exceed 0.1 percent by weight of the food-contact polymer. The finished polymers are intended to contact all types of food under Conditions of Use C through G, as described in Table 2. Use of the colorant is subject to the provisions and definitions set forth in 21 CFR 178.3297.
