According to Section 409(h)(1)(C) of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, food contact substance notifications (FCNs) are effective only for the listed manufacturer and its customers. Other manufacturers must submit their own FCN for the same food contact substance and intended use.
Food Contact Substance: Sulfonic acids, C10-18-alkane, sodium salts (CAS Reg. No. 68037-49-0).

Intended Use: The FCS is to be used as an antifogging anchor agent in multi-layer polyolefin film structures for use in produce bags and for lid seals for formed trays, specifically for raw and fresh fruits and vegetables, and for lid seals where meats are packaged in formed trays.
Limitations/Specifications: The FCS is to be used at a level not to exceed 1 weight-percent by weight of the finished food contact polymer. The maximum thickness of the seal layer is 20 microns.
