According to Section 409(h)(1)(C) of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, food contact substance notifications (FCNs) are effective only for the listed manufacturer and its customers. Other manufacturers must submit their own FCN for the same food contact substance and intended use.

Limitations/Specifications: | The FCS is intended for use in articles that may contact all types of food and under all Conditions of Use as an antioxidant/ thermal stabilizer(1) at levels up to 0.2 percent in Linear Low Density Polyethylene (LLPDE) films and articles up to 5mils thick, and (2) at levels up to 1 percent of adhesives and pressure sensitive adhesives complying with 21 CFR 175.105 and 21 CFR 175.125, respectively, can-end cements complying with 21 CFR 175.300(b)(3)(xxxi), and repeated-use food-contact articles. |
