According to Section 409(h)(1)(C) of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, food contact substance notifications (FCNs) are effective only for the listed manufacturer and its customers. Other manufacturers must submit their own FCN for the same food contact substance and intended use.

Intended Use: As an antioxidant and/or stabilizer in accordance with 21 CFR 178.2010 in styrene-isoprene-styrene (SIS) copolymer.
Limitations/Specifications: The antioxidant will be limited for use at levels not to exceed 0.1 by weight of the SIS copolymer, as a component of pressure-sensitive adhesives complying with 21 CFR 175.125. The adhesives are to be used as components of tape for food packaging and for labels placed on fruits and food containers at room temperature or below.
