According to Section 409(h)(1)(C) of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, food contact substance notifications (FCNs) are effective only for the listed manufacturer and its customers. Other manufacturers must submit their own FCN for the same food contact substance and intended use.
Food Contact Substance: α-(dinonylphenyl)-ω-hydroxypoly(oxy-1,2-ethanediyl) containing not more than 21 moles of ethylene oxide per mole of dinonylphenyl (CAS Reg. No. 9014-93-1)

Intended Use: As a stabilizer in calcium stearate dispersions used in the manufacture of paper coatings complying with 21 CFR 176.170(b).
Limitations/Specifications: At levels not to exceed 0.05 percent by weight of the finished coating.
